Another in the line-up of single vineyard, high altitude releases from the Woodside sub-region of the Adelaide Hills. This vineyard was planted in 2001. The aim here is to replicate that appealing Germanic style of off-dry Riesling. The winemaking was undertaken to ensure maximum complexity and texture. The colour here is a very pale straw. We have pears, citrus and floral notes with a minerally backing. A focused and finely crafted Riesling, well balanced, and with a bracing line of sea breeze acidity. A lovely lingering finish with that flick of gentle sweetness.
Mandarin skin, yellow apple and calamansi lime skin with shaved green papaya. A off-dry style with a dollop of fruit sweetness, the wine remains lithe and lively on the palate and finishes dry. This is designed for drinking young and often.
