Selected from the best rows off our small vineyard, this quintessential Coonawarra Cabernet has all the hallmarks of this classic style. A lifted nose of dried herbs, bay leaf and bramble leads into a rich palate of cassis, cocoa and blackberry. The fruit weight is well supported by fine, silky tannins and natural, bright acidity. A wine to be enjoyed now, and will improve with short term cellaring.
VINTAGE
The 2020 vintage in Coonawarra can be characterised by lower yields of high quality fruit. Coonawarra was lucky not to have been affected by the bush fires that occurred throughout the 2019/2020 Australian summer. The fruit was fantastic – small berries, great fruit concentration and lovely tannins. Warm days and cool nights provided the perfect ripening conditions. The 2020 Coonawarra vintage has been free of disease, drought, and smoke taint.
