With this Old Vine Shiraz expect full bodied flavours of dark black fruits, leather, mulberry, spiced chocolate and menthol. A wine that will offer plenty of drinking pleasure over the next few years. Dark fruited goodness, easing into leathery and cedary notes, big on flavour, mouth-feel and length. Plenty of grainy tannins to its core giving. Matured for 18 months in seasoned French and American oak. Notes of cedary oak and firm tannins keep pulling the flavours through. Impressive length, very drinkable now, cellar to 8+ years.
Colour: Inky, almost black and opaque in colour. Big and hearty in style.
Aroma: Plush with a breadth of ripeness to its red and black plum, blackberry and vanilla offerings.
Palate: The flavours are intense yet mellow and supple; the feel is silky until the velvety finish puts an appetising nap on your tongue.
Food Pairing: Food match with roast and grilled beef, lamb, vegetables and hard cheeses.
