A deep yellow/gold hue, this is tight and focused, concentrated and seamless, and elegant yet intense. Light, fresh and bright with a mix of yuzu, yellow melon and nashi, hints of ginger and lemon shortbread, good flavour intensity, crisp acidity and a long and engaging finish. Lingers beautifully. A finely knit style, spicy notes with some vanilla emerge more on the palate. Fruity and creamy, with vibrant apple and passionfruit flavours entwined with a touch of vanilla spice. Plenty of bang for your buck.
From Padthaway, 40% of the juice is racked to oak for fermentation, before the wine has eight months maturation in barrels, on lees.

Aroma: Expressive aromas of citrus, stonefruit, melon, toast and sweet spice.
Palate: We have notes of lemons, figs, melons, and pears with a hint of honeysuckle on the finish.
Food Pairing: We reckon it’s best enjoyed alongside a coconut or cashew-based curry - bursting with flavours of ginger, chilli and kaffir lime leaves - or with creamy chicken and pork pasta dishes, but it’s also delicious with richer seafood dishes, fish like snapper and barramundi, and all kinds of noodle or tofu preparations. Nice!
