The Dirtman 2022 vintage has been matured in new and seasoned American oak and features intense aromas of ripe stone fruit and spice, overlaid with nuances of smoky oak vanilla bean, licorice, dark chocolate and blackcurrant. The fruit driven palate is medium weight, displaying great balance and lively fruit characters while still soft and generous. Lively, well balanced medium weight soft round and fruit driven. The finish is harmonious and long, leaving spicy dark chocolate and stone-fruit flavours lingering on the palate. Its generous flavours and enduring tannins make it a compelling choice for those seeking a rich and satisfying Shiraz experience. The fruit in The Dirtman Shiraz is sourced from vineyards in both the Eden Valley and the Barossa Valley. The two regions are distinctly different in terms of climate and dirt. Bringing them together allows us to craft a wine that celebrates classic Barossa Shiraz generosity and plushness, with a backbone of finesse that is ideal for aging.
Colour: Deep opaque red with purple hue.
Aroma: Lifted complex plum and spice characters on the nose with interesting notes of spicy oak.
Palate: The palate finishes harmoniously with spicy dark chocolate berry flavours supported by long lingering tannins.
